Welcome to LaShondraBurke.com (the “Site”). We care about stewardship and integrity—including how we handle your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have.
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through LaShondraBurke.com and related forms and communications connected to LaShondra Burke’s work (including author/speaking requests, ministry communications, faith-based apparel, bookkeeping/accounting inquiries, and book-related links).
This Privacy Policy applies when you: visit or browse the Site; submit a contact form, booking request, or inquiry; submit a review or testimonial (including content that may appear publicly in a carousel); purchase products or services through the Site or via linked providers; or subscribe to emails or updates.
This Privacy Policy does not automatically apply to third-party websites and services (such as Amazon) that you may access via links on our Site. Those third parties have their own privacy practices.
We collect information in three ways: (A) information you provide, (B) information collected automatically, and (C) information from third parties.
We may receive limited information from payment processors (payment confirmation, fraud signals, transaction metadata), e-commerce/fulfillment providers (order status, tracking, returns), analytics providers (aggregated traffic insights), and third-party retailers such as Amazon (aggregated referral reporting).
We use your information to: operate the Site and troubleshoot; process and fulfill orders; provide services you request (including bookkeeping/accounting, speaking bookings, and ministry updates you choose to receive); publish and moderate reviews/testimonials; communicate with you; send marketing communications you can opt out of at any time; improve our offerings through analytics; protect safety and integrity (fraud prevention); and comply with law (tax, accounting, recordkeeping, and legal process).
We use cookies and similar technologies (pixels and tags) to help the Site work properly and understand how it is used. These may include essential cookies (core functionality), analytics/performance cookies, functional cookies (remembering preferences), and marketing cookies (where used). You can usually control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some features.
We may use or link to third-party services, including: Amazon and other book retailers (purchases handled under their policies), payment processors, e-commerce and print-on-demand/fulfillment partners, email and communications platforms, scheduling/booking tools, and analytics providers. We encourage you to review those third parties’ privacy policies.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information: with service providers who help run the business (payment processing, shipping/fulfillment, email delivery, analytics, hosting, security), permitted to use it only to serve us; publicly, if you submit content for publication (such as reviews/testimonials) — please do not submit anything you want kept private; for legal and safety reasons if required by law or to protect rights and security; and in connection with a business transfer (reorganization, sale, or merger), consistent with applicable law.
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, including fulfilling orders and services, maintaining business/tax/accounting records, resolving disputes and enforcing agreements, and meeting legal obligations. Where feasible, we may de-identify or aggregate information instead of keeping it in identifiable form.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete certain personal information, opt out of marketing, request portability, and withdraw consent. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in our emails (you may still receive non-marketing messages such as order confirmations). To have a review/testimonial you submitted updated or removed from public display, contact us (Section 13).
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. However, no website or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
A. GDPR (EEA/UK and similar): we process personal information under legal bases such as consent (for certain cookies/marketing), contract (to provide products/services), legitimate interests (to operate, improve, and secure the Site and prevent fraud), and/or legal obligation. You may have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
B. CCPA/CPRA (California): California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, and delete certain personal information and to opt out of certain “sharing” for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. You can manage cookie settings in your browser and contact us to submit an opt-out request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
